Choosing Illustration and Animation for higher education was influenced by my fascination towards art and being able to express myself when drawing. I want to show my enthusiasm for creativity whilst using my drawing skills and imaginative approach to produce inventive pieces of work in my own style. I have decided to specialise in illustration as a process is exciting and it gives me the chance to master my drawing techniques and develop myself further.
Studying a foundation in art and design has given me the ability to expand and develop my visual communication skills and create more effective and convincing imagery. The most challenging were life drawing classes which helped me to work on my observation, drawing skills and become more confident with mark making. While working on projects I always tried to do the most of them.  When worked on 'deconstruct' project, I painted an apocalyptic city on a 150cm x 120cm canvas. This was a challenge for me as I have never painted on such a large scale. The work that I produced varies from art work, Illustration, animation and graphic design pieces but experimenting has enabled me to make a decision with my subject choice.
In my free time I read science fiction books which stimulate my imagination and inspire when creating new illustrations. I also love photography which is a great way to look at world from a different perspective and capture its diversity on photos. Photography is also helpful with grasping new ideas and inspirations for my projects.  Working part time as a supervisor I have gained leadership skills, experience with working under pressure of time, communicating with a team and also managing my time and others. This work helped me to develop effective communication with people which is key issue when working with others.
Completing a degree in Illustration and Animation will give me an opportunity to start career in illustration.
